M.A. in Educational Administration and Credential Programs
The M.A. in Educational Administration (K–12) is earned simultaneously with the credential program with one additional research course (Ed Ad 253) and a master’s Action Research thesis project. It is a 2 year, 42 unit program.
The focus area for the K-12 Educational Administration degree can be in one of several cohorts:
- The Preliminary Administrative Credential Tier 1
- The Tier 1 credential with a focus on preparing for leadership in urban high schools. The Urban High School Leadership Program is a partnership arrangement with districts who select potential leaders and support them in the 2 year program. A team approach is used for the research for the Action Research project.
- The Master’s in Teacher Leadership is a partnership arrangement with a district in which teachers who want to earn the M. A. and a Tier 1 credential focus on collaborative leadership and team research for the Action Research project.
